Auto Repair in Monument, CO
The town of Monument, Colorado, is located in El Paso County, north of Colorado Springs along Interstate 25. Situated at the base of the Rampart mountain range, Monument covers 6.75 square miles of land, home to a population of roughly 6,600 residents.
The first homesteaders arrived to the area in 1865, and the new community was settled as a stop along the Rio Grande Railroad in 1872. It was soon incorporated as a town called Henry’s Station in 1879, then changed to the name of Monument three years later. Small businesses flourished with the help of the railroad. Today the town, surrounding Monument Lake and bordering on Pike National Forest, lives by the motto, “Proud of Our Past, Confident of Our Future.”
